新規H-1Bビザの申請受付開始は2008年4月1日(火)。新規H-1Bビザの年間発給数は65,000と限られており、米国の大学にて修士号を取得した者には別途20,000の発給枠が割り当てられている。新規H-1B申請を検討している方は、受付開始日に間に合うよう申請の準備をしてください。
2007年1月23日付けで、アメリカ・カナダ・メキシコ・バミューダの国籍保持者は、空路にてアメリカに入国する際にパスポート提示が義務付けられている。
海外に設置されている米国大使館では、結婚・家族ベースの永住権申請の受付サービスを閉鎖。結婚・家族ベースの永住権申請は、まず最初に米国内の移民局へ提出しなければならない。
